Nashville’s Dylan Fetcho Racing Announces Aidan Potter to Late Model Driver Development Program

Nashville, TN (Aug. 22nd, 2024) – Dylan Fetcho Racing headed by the 3-Time Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway Pro Late Model champion and his father, Scott Fetcho, have shifted gears for the 2024 race season.
Instead of racing for a fourth track championship, potentially surpassing Sterling Marlin and Andy Kirby, Jr. – each with three titles as well, the team decided to implement a driver development program in the Pro Late Model division for 2024 and beyond.
Brentwood, Tennessee’s Aidan Potter has been announced to the organization, with his first race slated for Cordele Motor Speedway later this month.
Dylan made the decision to field his familiar No. 89 only part-time this season and not run for championship points, picking up a victory in April on the 5/8-mile asphalt oval while building a touring Super Late Model schedule for himself.
Wanting to continue the passion, energy and momentum wrapped around the team’s long-standing Pro Late Model effort in middle-Tennessee and throughout the southeast, the team agreed to open their successful program to mentorship and development within the motorsports industry that would include up-and-coming drivers with notable racing achievements to their Lebanon, Tennessee-based racing program. Potter is no stranger to success and mastering his craft.
The 16-year-old picked up the regional Quarter Midget championship at the metro-Atlanta Dixie Shootout along with multiple race wins at Nashville and Huntsville in 2018.
A year later he added the National Quarter Midget championship at Daytona International Speedway and at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas to his resume.
In 2020 Potter claimed The Tennessee INEX championship, along with the Nashville Fairgrounds and Veterans Motorplex championships in the Bandolero division, repeating those feats in 2021.
In 2022, Potter graduated from the Skip Barber Racing School, then made the move the following year to open wheel racing in the F4 United States Championships series, and made his USF Juniors debut at COTA.
For 2024, Aidan has competed in Yacademy events at Homestead-Miami Speedway scoring 2, top 10 results to date. Drivers that participate in the Yacademy Winter Series have access to the best world class race car drivers as their instructors, led by Gustavo Yacaman.
Potter says he is excited for his next move to team up with Dylan Fetcho Racing and return to the Nashville-based team to apply his effort and broad experience to heighten his career in Pro Late Model racing. The Daytona Beach, FL native still considers Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway his home track.
“Through the few practices I’ve had with Dylan and the DFR team, I’ve gotten so confident and feel so good for the upcoming races and into next season. I feel like with this team, I’ll have the resources and a chance to compete every single weekend. I am so thankful for them allowing me to race for their program. It’s both exciting and humbling.”
Dylan Fetcho echoes the sentiments of Potter, saying “We are really looking forward to having Aidan in the driver’s seat. We’ve tested a few times with him and his abilities have exceeded our expectations each time.”
“We’re excited to help him get adapted to the Pro Late Model after racing open wheels for so long and are highly anticipating a strong and successful relationship together,” he continued.
Further races are to be announced by the team for 2024 following Cordele, and the plan is to run a full Pro Late Model season at Nashville for 2025 and include some strategic events throughout the region as well.
Potter will drive the No. 68 for Dylan Fetcho Racing at the Cordle Motor Speedway Pro Late Model 100, and the race will be streamed live Saturday, Aug. 31st on Racing America.tv.
